Middle School (Ages 12 to 14 Years)
At QES, Middle School represents a purposeful and carefully guided progression from the foundational years of Infant and Elementary education. Building upon the curiosity, creativity, and core subject understanding developed in the early years, students now step into a more structured phase of learning where academic depth, independent thinking, and personal growth become the focus.
Following the internationally benchmarked Cambridge Lower Secondary framework, the curriculum is designed to challenge students while nurturing their individual strengths.
Subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science become more rigorous and concept-driven, while disciplines like Social Studies, Arabic, and Islamic Studies help broaden their worldview and cultural awareness. Students are encouraged to make interdisciplinary connections, conduct investigations, and develop real-world solutions, laying a strong foundation for analytical and problem-solving skills.
This phase also marks a significant stage in identity-building. Through leadership opportunities, collaborative projects, and reflective learning, students begin to discover their voice, take greater ownership of their academic journey, and grow in confidence and resilience. The curriculum for learners aged 6 to 14 years focuses on enabling students to become more confident, responsible, reflective and innovative through problem solving and continuous engagement.
